Here at Maes Dance and Physical Fitness I provide adaptive Zumba, Physical Fitness, and Pop/Trending Dance sessions designed for individuals with diverse abilities.
Each session is personalized to match the client’s movement level, sensory needs, communication style, and personal goals. My approach focuses on joyful movement, strength-building, coordination, confidence, and emotional wellness. Whether the goal is improved motor skills, increased activity, social connection, or simply having fun through music and dance—I create a safe, supportive environment where every client can succeed and shine.

Meet the Founder — Mae Romano

Hi, I’m Mae Romano, a Neurodivergent Fitness Trainer with over a Decade of hands-on experience supporting individuals with diverse abilities. My background in caregiving and adaptive fitness has shaped the heart of my work—creating movement spaces where every person feels heard, seen, supported, and empowered.

For years, I’ve worked closely with individuals who have a wide range of physical, cognitive, and developmental differences. Through these experiences, I’ve learned that fitness is not just about exercise—it’s about connection, trust, creativity, and celebrating progress in every form. This is what inspires me every day.

I bring a calm, encouraging, and patient approach to each session, making sure my clients feel safe, comfortable, and confident while exploring movement. Whether we’re dancing, stretching, or building strength, my goal is always to meet each person where they are and help them grow at their own pace.

Why I Love This Work

Working with individuals with diverse abilities is my passion. I love seeing clients light up when they master a new skill, connect with a rhythm, or find joy in movement. Every session is an opportunity to help someone express themselves, build confidence, and experience success. Being part of that journey is incredibly meaningful to me, and it’s the reason I’m committed to offering thoughtful, personalized, and adaptive fitness programs.
